Hi Telko

yes you ur right GPS is not included.

Java Engine: SunMicrosystems 4.1

Ok i run FoxiTest on my BB device and got following error:

"Uncaught exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError"

...it seems to me that the installed java engine don't work with Foxi. Maybe an update to antoher java engine would help but i can't install another because its a part of our communication equipment from my company. I guess if i change the java engine the blackberry feature (Push Mail over BB Enterprise Server and Exchange2003) would not work properly anylonger, of course just a guess.

My Handheld Software Version is Blackberry 8700g v4.1.0.286 (Plattform 2.0.0.123)

bye...

Blackberry and java

Postby Munja » Sat Nov 18, 2006 12:32 pm

Hi,
Blackberry converts any java ".jar" file to ".cod" file if you download the java software with your web browser.
I hope u didn't try to install FoxyTag or FoxyTest via bluetooth. In that case you must convert ".jar" to ".cod" file before and it is not so easy acording to Blackberry forums.
FoxyTag should run if it is converted to ".cod" file.
I've just had a look at the SunMicrosystems 4.1 java API. It seems that the manner to use the bluetooth is not compatible with our software.
If you manage to run FoxyTest please send us report when you try internet connection from FoxyTest.
It will help us to know if it is possible to make FoxyTag running on Blackberry.

i tryed severeal things with java but recentley i got the same goal like Munja:

I've just had a look at the SunMicrosystems 4.1 java API. It seems that the manner to use the bluetooth is not compatible with our software.

Hello,

I have a BB 7100v with OS 4.1.0.377.

I tried the version compiled by Johi, but I receive the error:

"Uncaught exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError"

immediately when I try to launch the application, as Sitte reports too.

What can I do?

Bye...
