Config GPRS

Postby Foxy » Fri Oct 20, 2006 2:02 pm

1) Sony-Ericsson K750, Orange Suisse
Accès: Règlages - Connexions - Paramètres Java

Paramètres Java
Orange Internet
Connexion via: Orange Internet GPRS
Mode Internet: WAP
Adr. Passerelle: 192.168.010.002
Sécurité: Désactivé
Nom d'utilisateur:
Mot de passe:

Accueil: (this part is important too!)
Nom: Orange
Adresse: http://wap.sonyericsson.com

2) Sony-Ericsson W810i, Swisscom
Accès: Règlages - Connexions - Paramètres Java

Connexion via: Swisscom MMS
Utiliser proxy: Oui
Adresse proxy: 192.168.210.002
Numero de port: 8080
Nom d'utilisateur:
Mot de passe:

Merci de nous faire parvenir vos fichiers!

If you're looking for details about the internet connection, please tell us first with wich operator you're binded.

Then, if you have problems with them, or with the configuration of your mobile phone.

Config GPRS

Postby Munja » Mon Oct 30, 2006 3:06 pm

Hi,

Here is manual GPRS configuration for Nokia 6680 working with Orange Switzerland provider:

1. Open Settings->Connection->Access points

2. Choose Options->New access point->Use default settings

3. Give one name to your connection for example: FoxyTag GPRS

4. Enter following parameters:
Data bearer: Packet data
Access point name: GPRS
User name: None
Prompt password: No
Password:
Authentication: Normal
Homepage: http://192.168.151.3:8002

5. Choose Options->Advanced Settings
Network type: IPv4
Phone IP address: Automatic
Name servers: Automatic
Proxy serv. address: 192.168.151.2
Proxy port number: 8080

6. Next time when you run FoxyTag you will be prompt to choose internet connection, you can choose the profile name that you created: FoxyTag GPRS.

:D However the easiest way is to call customer service of your network provider. In most cases they send you one sms, you save it and that's it! :D

In my ipinion you can use any kind of connection (wap, mms) but FoxyTag proposes GPRS because you can stay connected all time and you pay only received data.

GPRS

Postby Munja » Tue Oct 31, 2006 10:18 am

Here is swisscom web page for GPRS configuration: http://www.swisscom-mobile.ch/scm/dlc-en.aspx?dg=Manual
I don't see Motorola RAZR but you've got a link "Set up your mobile phone" it should work.
If not call their customer service and ask to send you GPRS configuration (the easiest way).

@Munja: Could you give me/us the Configuration for Nokia 6680 with a Swisscom access point? On the Page you gave, I can't find any helpconfiguration for GPRS!

GPRS on Nokia 6680

Postby Munja » Wed Nov 01, 2006 12:57 pm

On this page you have a link on the left side "Mobile settings and support" :
http://www.swisscom-mobile.ch/scm/kd_ha ... rt-en.aspx
You can change language as well.
Follow instructions in pop-un window and choose "Vodafone live/ wap over GPRS...".
They will send you configuration by sms, just save it.
ps
If you already have Vodafone Live you should have GPRS configured.
