N95 Alarm doesn't sound

Postby Robbie » Fri Apr 25, 2008 2:06 pm

Hi,
I have successfully downloaded and installed Foxytag without any hiccups,
though when I use the ALARM TEST there is no sound,
The sound on the phone is working and I have the volume on 100% with Foxytag.
Everything else appears to be working fine,
any suggestions?

And, of course your phone is not in the "silent"mode?

It is strange, since your phone (N95) is the most used one. Give me the version of your firmware and I checked if I have any information about it.

Scrap that,
I was using the Foxytag software last night, it was working well
except the alarm wasn't sounding, (the phone is not in silent mode)

Then for the first time since I downloaded the Foxytag andS60Spoton applications, I turned the phone off.
When I turned the phone on today, the Foxytag application will not open,
the S60 is working ok.

Firmware is V12.0.0.13

There are currently lots of users that are using the same firmware as you, so the problem is somewhere else.

- Do you use a headphone? Or is your phone connected, in a way or another, to another device?
- If not, try to uninstall the application completely. Completely means that when it aks you if you want to keep some parameters, you say "no".
- What about other Java applications, like http://www.amazegps.com ? Do you get vocal navigation instructions?

I'm using a N95 Phone.
In my car, I have a bluetooth hand free equipment.

If Bluetooth is On, I have no sound.
Turn bluetooth off and test the sound.

It's the same with MP3 player.

The problem is in bluetooth. With bluetooth on and connected to an audio device the sounds don't work. Turn it off and they work.
But that defeats the object of having a bluetooth connected phone in the car.
I'm hoping someone has a workround.
I use a Nokia E71.

Hey Friend
I have E71 mobile phone..
Suppose your N95 alarm don't work properly I have some idea here. just cheak it 1 time.
Suppose your phone is on and the alarm goes off, does the alarm tone sound? or does this just happen when the phone is off and the alarm goes off? reset your phone to its original setting,
Soft Reset: *#7780#
try set the alarm again and test your problem again.
Good Luck.
