6110 Navigator

Postby Ronster » Fri Jul 20, 2007 2:36 pm

Hi,

I installed your nifty tool on my Nokia, model 6110 Navigator. The test mode shows up fine, I see speed etc.
But now I wanted to participate, so I sms the phone number and entered my details on the internet site. I received a mail with my user name and password.

But I can't enter the options menu on my phone, so I can't enter my user name and password to really start working with it. (It just looks like the options button doesn't work)

Did I forget a step? I tried reinstalling the tool, but the test mode keeps returning...

There are lots of other user that could enter their username/password (saw it in the log).

hi!

I found a workaround for this, with a bit of luck. I can enter the menu when I press the '0' (zero) first, en then the options button, easy as that.
After that I could logon and enjoy this awsome tool!!

I hope this workaround can be usefull for others as well.

regards,

Ron.

Very very very very strange... :?: :?: :?:

Well, if it works now...

But... since you like this tools, you probably use it often.
Could you please also answer to a few questions?

- Which parameters do you use for "Flash delay" and "Flash duration" ?
- With these parameters, is you screen on (lighted), and behaving correctly?
- If you put (0, 0), what happens? Does you screen go off? Does the application still running and warning you when you approach a speed camera?
- If you answered (0, 0) for the first question, which parameters can you set in order that your screen stay on and behaves correctly (not starts flashing after a while, or whatever)?
- What about the alarm; is it possible to set the volume of it? If yes, how?

Thank you very much in advance.

Another 6110 navigator

Postby Jelle » Tue Jul 24, 2007 10:35 am

I'm also a 6110 Navigator owner, and I can give you my experiences:
- Sometimes foxytag doesn't start at all
- Sometimes foxytag won't start with a "not enough memory" message (especially if I have other programs running, like a webbrowser or the navigation program)
- if foxytag can't get a fix, sometimes I can't access the menu
- I can't find a proper "flash delay" and "flash duration" that works well
- putting (0,0) will give the following result: the backlight will turn off after a few seconds.
- alarm volume: no idea how to change this, even though it is rather loud

Other than that, I still like the tool.
When on the road, I usually have three apps running: my navigation tool, my gps tracker and foxytag. But I have to start foxytag first, otherwise it tells the phone it needs more memory. I think this is false, because it obviously doesn't need all that memory it wants, since I can start and run the other two apps fine after starting up foxytag. Then again, sometimes foxytag will just disappear after I started the other apps.

Oh, I believe that the screen and foxytag freezes if the backlight turns off, until you touch a key. I'll have to check that though.

Thank you very much for your information.

Developing a single soft that runs on different devices is not an easy task. But precise comments like this really help to improve the software. Some answers:

Try (1, 999999999)

You should be able to avoid that with http://www.outbank.de/index.php?id=29&L=1

OK. I'll put a volume parameter in the next version.

(0,0)

I have 0,0 there, and the screen backlight goes off.
- If you answered (0, 0) for the first question, which parameters can you set in order that your screen stay on and behaves correctly (not starts flashing after a while, or whatever)?

I should try and experiment with that for a while I will let you know.

I can't set the volume still, but I saw in the thread that you created a new version?

Thank you very much, again. And sorry for the late reply.
