Bluetooth and alarm sounds

Postby ianireland » Thu Sep 24, 2009 11:35 am

This topic appears in bits elsewhere in this forum - but as yet I haven't seen a solution.
I use FoxyTag on a Nokia E71. Iuse bluetooth to connect the phone to my car, Lexus RX400h.
When the phone is connected to the car via bluetooth the audible alarm on FoxyTag does not sound.
If I disconnect from the car the FoxyTag alarms sound.
Is there a way to make the FoxyTag alarm sound when the phone is connected to the car with bluetooth.

Probably not, since FoxyTag RI is written in Java and therefore there is no control at all over the hardware. But, since you have a Nokia, you could perhaps try TrackerTag, which is written in Symbian.

Thank you for your reply.
Am I right in the understanding that if I use TrackerTag there is a cost to access the FoxyTag data?

Yes, it will cost you 8.99 € per year (a bit less than a speeding ticket ).

FoxyTag has now a very good coverage and new users everyday. To provide the best quality of service as possible, FoxyTag partners (like TrackerTag) participate to the involved costs.

You can start by asking your initial question directly at TrackerTag to make sure that it will work properly before paying the access.
